Letter from the Mayor

Hello and welcome to the City of Dearborn Heights' home page on the World Wide Web. The "City With A Future" is now the city of the future, thanks to the information superhighway.

Dearborn Heights is an established residential community (we became a city in 1963), and are working hard to build up a full complement of services to assist more than 60,000 citizens in a 12 square mile area.

To list but a few, we are served by two senior citizen centers and two recreation centers, three major highways, five school districts, and many churches and shopping areas. We're also 10-15 minutes away from one of the nation's busiest airports, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

I think you'll find the information contained on the following pages interesting, and our community to be a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Thank you for stopping by our Web site to browse around and again, welcome to Dearborn Heights.

Sincerely,
Mayor Ruth A. Canfield
